The coaches behind the programs.
Coach Leanne
Director & Head Coach
Triathlon Australia (ITU Endorsed) / Triathlon Victoria Coach, Level 1
With ten years beind her in the sports of athletics, cycling and triathlon, and a background in public relations and management, Leanne is now a full-time coach, triathlete (who, like you, trains under a coach) and sometimes surfer and snowboarder!
She has over 14 years experience in the fitness industry as a swim, aerobics and pilates instructor, facility manager, personal trainer and business owner (Evolve Training & Fitness). She is also a public speaker, presenter and advocate for physical activity.
Having earned enough points to qualify for a spot on the 2008 Australian Age Group Team for the World Championships in Canada, but declining in favour of a 70.3 campaign, Leanne is now a dedicated age-group triathlete focusing on Olympic and 70.3 distances.
She has a varied competitive sporting background, that includes gymnastics, rowing, surfing, surf lifesaving and soccer.
She is avidly passionate about triathlon, and loves that the sport is achievable for anyone who believes they can do it.
Having a number of coaches with varied results over her burgeoning triathlon career, and been a participant in numerous triathlon, running and cycling camps, she understands what it takes to succeed as an athlete and coach. Leanne does not believe in generic programming, preferring a personal approach to training to ensure the best possible results and enjoyment for her athletes. She also believes regular contact and feedback is essential to ensuring success and longevity in the sport.
Leanne has a special interest in training beginner athletes, women and children, as well as adventure racing.
She is also currently training to attempt an ambitious plan to climb the seven summits, including Everest and K2 - preferably without oxygen.
